Delete Your Account & Data

You are in full control of your data. You can delete your Drom account and associated personal data at any time, directly within the mobile application or by submitting an online request.

Fastest Method

1. Direct In-App Deletion

If you have the Drom app installed on your phone, deletion is instantaneous:

Open the Drom app on your device.
Go to your Profile screen.
Tap Settings → Account.
Select Delete Account and confirm.

Your session ends immediately, and your profile is instantly hidden and permanently scheduled for removal.

Without Mobile App

2. Online Account Deletion Request (Google Play / Web)

If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your device, or prefer to request deletion via the web:

Send an email to our privacy team at privacy@rundrom.com (or to our backup contact drorgt7@gmail.com) containing:

Subject line: "Delete my Drom account".
The phone number or email address registered with your Drom account.
Your profile display name (used to verify account ownership).

Send Account Deletion Email

After verifying account ownership, we will permanently purge your data from our active systems within 30 days and send you confirmation.

What Data is Deleted and What is Retained

Data Category	Deletion Status & Retention
Profile, photos, age, gender, running preferences	Deleted immediately from active systems (up to 30 days)
Location coordinates and Geohashes	Permanently purged
Connected Strava data	Disconnected and deleted within 48 hours
Chat messages sent to others	May remain visible in the recipient's conversation history
Safety reports involving your account	Retained up to 24 months for safety investigations and legal claims
Ban records for ejected users (one-way hashed identifier)	Retained for the duration of the ban to prevent re-registration
Routine disaster-recovery database backups	Overwritten automatically within up to 35 days

Important Note on In-App Subscriptions:Deleting your Drom account does not automatically cancel an active paid subscription managed by Apple or Google. Please cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
