We’ve designed this policy to be as clear and straightforward as possible because we actually want you to read it! Think of us as your digital running partner and wingmate, here to guide you through exactly what data we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it.
2. Who We Are & Where This Applies
This Privacy Policy applies to the Drom mobile application, websites, and related services. Because our community and operations are based entirely in Israel, the company responsible for managing your data (the "data controller") is:

To help you find the perfect running partner or romantic match, we need to know a bit about you. Using our service also generates data automatically.
Data You Give Us:
- Account Data: When you sign up, you provide your phone number, email address, and date of birth (you must be 18 or older to use Drom).
- Profile Data: The details you share to complete your profile, such as your name, gender, photos, dating preferences, and your running profile (e.g., preferred distances, average pace, personal bests).
- Content & Chats: The messages, photos, and running routes you share with your matches on the Platform.
- Customer Support Data: Information you provide when you contact us with an inquiry or submit a report about another user.
Data Generated Automatically:
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including when you log in, the profiles you like or pass on, the features you use, and your matching history.
- Technical Data: Information about the device you use to access Drom, including your device ID, IP address, operating system, and app crash logs to keep the platform running smoothly.
Other Data We Collect:
- Precise Geolocation Data:With your explicit device permission, we track your precise location (latitude and longitude). This is essential for mapping your running routes, calculating your pace, and connecting you with users running nearby. You may revoke Drom's access to your precise location at any time through your device's operating system settings (e.g., Settings > Privacy > Location Services). Please note that revoking this access will limit core functionalities, such as mapping routes and finding nearby matches.
4. Why and How We Use Your Data
The main reason we process your data is to provide our service to you, keep the community safe, and improve the app over time. Under Israeli law, your use of the app and acceptance of this policy constitutes your informed consent to this processing.

6. Your Rights
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, you have specific rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Review: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Amend: If you find that your data is incorrect, incomplete, or outdated, you can update your profile directly in the app settings or request that we correct it.
- Right to Delete: You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your profile will immediately disappear from the app, and we will delete your personal data and User Generated Content (including photos and chat histories) from our active databases.

We take the security of your data seriously. We implement robust, industry-standard physical, technical, and administrative measures in full compliance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Security), 5777-2017, designed to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
We retain your data only for as long as you have an active Drom account. If you delete your account, your information will be removed, except for specific data we must temporarily retain to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce a permanent ban against a user who violated our safety policies.
