Question 1

Is Drom a dating app or a running app?

Accepted Answer

Drom is built first and foremost as an athletic matching engine. We match you on physiological fitness and aerobic level, schedule, and shared goals. However, we acknowledge that genuine bonds form through shared training. Drom features 11 transparent Intent Tags (including 'Open to Dating', 'Race Prep', 'Social Running', 'Networking') combined with explicit 'Single' or 'Taken' relationship status badges. This ensures complete psychological safety and zero ambiguity.

Question 2

How does Drom's matching algorithm work?

Accepted Answer

Forget superficial profile swiping. Drom's Fitness Engine analyzes your aerobic capability (synced directly from Strava workouts or 5K times), preferred pace bracket, weekly volume, running days, and preferred time of day. Both users must satisfy each other's criteria before entering the deck, ensuring neither runner is left behind or over-exerted.

Question 3

What is dromNow and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

drom matches you with local runners based on exact pace, shared schedule, and true intent. From spontaneous training groups to intention based partners. Whenever you want to head out, find or broadcast active runs nearby and coordinate instantly.

Question 4

What is a Run Proposal in the chat?

Accepted Answer

A Run Proposal is Drom's signature feature to eliminate 'when and where?' messaging fatigue. Instead of endless texting, tap to send a structured card with start time, location landmark, target distance (e.g. 8.5 km), and pace bracket (e.g. 5:15–5:30 min/km). Your match can accept or decline with one tap, locking in the workout instantly.

Question 5

How does CoacHub work for runners and coaches?

Accepted Answer

CoacHub is a verified specialist marketplace inside Drom. Runners can browse coaches, sports nutritionists, physiotherapists, and strength trainers filtered by discipline (Road to Marathon, 5K/10K Speed, Trail & Ultra, Biomechanics) with transparent pricing in ILS ('From ₪150/session') and 1-tap direct chat. Coaches gain direct client acquisition without cold messaging.

Question 6

What are Activeness XP and DROM Stars?

Accepted Answer

Activeness XP is a fraud-proof gamification ledger awarding points for verified runs, accepted proposals, and Strava syncs. Runners compete across weekly division leaderboards that reset every Sunday at midnight. Top runners earn DROM Stars scannable QR voucher tokens (e.g. DROM-RUN-26) redeemable for post-run perks at partner cafes, bakeries, and sports stores.

Question 7

How do you ensure women's safety on Drom?

Accepted Answer

Safety is foundational. The 'Women only' intent tag is strictly gated to verified female profiles. Additionally, Drom provides Strava performance verification (preventing catfishing), mandatory face photo checks, 1-tap blocking, and a rapid 24-hour moderation team response for reported accounts.

Question 8

Is Drom free to download and use?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Drom is 100% free to download on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Everyday runners enjoy full access to 1-on-1 Stack matching, dromNow, in-chat run proposals, route discovery, and community leaderboards.
